This afternoon I gave a presentation in the large chapel of the St Joost Academy in Breda, the Netherlands. My presentation was the opening act of an afternoon about the future of the audiovisual industry in the Southern part of the Netherlands. There were about 250 guests and extra chairs had to be brought in. Sweet!

Kill A Bird is the intimate new song from Lolly Jane Blue’s upcoming debut album – to be released in February 2012. The video was shot in May in Scotland with no budget and lots of passion. Another video from Scotland will be released in January. Meanwhile, if you’re in the Netherlands, you can enjoy Kill A Bird live, at the Odyssey of Lolly Jane Blue.

Tonight’s the night! Requiem 2019 will experience its Dutch Premiere as it is attached to the official World premiere of de Heineken Ontvoering in Amsterdam RAI. 1,600 guests, 20 meter-film screen, black-tie event. Exciting!

Requiem 2019 played at Rutger Hauer’s I’ve Seen Films festival in MIlan tonight. Its incredible how we met exactly one year ago, at the very same festival, and can celebrate that with our first co-directing work today! this. feels. good. More info here

This is really slick! Requiem 2019 is attached to the Official Dutch Premiere of Rutger Hauer’s film De Heineken Ontvoering. The premiere takes place in Amsterdam RAI, on Monday, Oct 17.
Can’t wait to see it on the big screen!

At the end of this month, the new music video for Lolly Jane Blue, titled Kill A Bird will be released! We shot the video in Scotland this summer.
I’m super stoked about this one, it’s very different and feels so right!

The Odyssey Of Lolly Jane Blue – the 2011 / 2012 tour for Lolly Jane Blue – experienced its Try Out in Gorinchem, the Netherlands. Intimate theater ‘t Pand proved to be the perfect location to kick off this wonderful tour. Supported by three costume changes, Lolly performed a dozen songs against the mesmerizing setting of dreamy visuals projected on semi-transparent foils.

Requiem 2019 premiered at a special Event at Aarhus Festweek in Denmark. It was also screened on a wonderful water screen. Included in the event were a special performance by Lolly Jane Blue, and a Q&A with Rutger, Lolly and myself with the audience. Sweet memories!

Requiem 2019, the short film directed by Rutger Hauer and myself finished! This one’s for the whales and the ocean!!! The video will be released online early 2012.

Recently, I filmed 3 new music video’s for Lolly Jane Blue in Scotland. On the last evening of the intense 7-day shoot, we finished a little earlier than expected. But we just didn’t want to stop.

In a joyful hurry we decided to film this little bonus video (just a 2-taker) for the song Evening Disease; a song that has been on the web for a long time, but never got a video.

As soon as Lolly’s curls were ready, we ran outside to film in the last glimpses of daylight. I hope you enjoy this little moment as much as we did!

Stop the presses! White Swan was the last big video I released, all the way back in 2009. In 2010, I did an awesome video for Dutch singer Anouk, but unfortunately I was not aloud to share it with the world. But this year, I am finally making up for the long radio-silence!!!

I am incredibly excited to announce my new project Requiem 2019, which is a beautiful short film / music video. I’ll be co-directing the film with legendary actor Rutger Hauer – Blade Runner, Turks Fruit, Black Butterflies!

Long-time collaborator Lolly Jane Blue has recorded a beautiful track for the film. Check out the first snippets of info on the project here (go to time-code 11:38 – 12:42)

But that’s not all… In less than 2 weeks time, Lolly Jane Blue and myself will be flying out to Scotland with our long-time crew to film two new music video’s!
